Another Card Dare

the daring card makers had another dare this week and it was stated like this: Initials are BIG news at the moment, so here's your chance to make your mark with a monogram themed card. It can be any letter you like, made in any way - just so long as it's Big and Juicy!

so I got inspired again and made this card for one of my co-workers. the S comes out of the lace pocket. Happy card making!

Card Dare

I did this card for a challange on the blogspot the daring card maker. The challange was use 20 of one particular thing on a card - be it blooms, papers, brads, ribbons the choice is yours - you can use other things too, but there must be 20 of one item/component - not 20 things altogether, that would be much too easy. I used twenty pieces of scrap paper to make my flowers.

Happy Birthday Henry

Wow! Henry is eight today. We had lots of fun celebrating last night. Henry says thank you for all the special gifts. He is looking forward to getting the preying mantis eggs and playing lots of Nintendogs and Legos. Thanks for celebrating with us. Love, the Lee's

Scrapping Henry

Well, tomorrow is Henry's Birthday. I can't believe he is going to be eight. I was thinking about him this year and realized that I hadn't started a scrapbook for him. I usually do one for the school year, September to September. It's now almost March and so I have a little bit of catching up to do if I want to stay current. Here are a few pages I did this morning. I have been so busy with doing smaller altered scrapbooks I have neglected my 12X12's.

Dr. Suess'Birthday is coming up on March 2nd. I am looking forward to celebrating at school by doing the Cat in the Hat with the Kindergarteners. I love doing this project and seeing how all the different cats turn out. Happy Birthday Theodor Geisel!

Patriots

Emma's softball season has begun. Today was opening ceremonies and their first game. They played well and had a lot of fun. Go Patriots! We are looking forward to a great season. I love watching Emma play and look forward to her next game everyday. I get nervous when she is up to bat, especially if she gets down in the count. I never played softball, but I get to watch Emma and that's the next best thing.

Whale Watching

Well we went Whale Watching today with Henry's class and didn't see a single whale. We had a fun time anyway, and it was nice to get out into the sea air and look at the beautiful coastline. I got a few good pictures and hope to scrapbook them soon.

Emma's Frog Box

Okay this is my one Valentine's picture. This is Emma's Valentine Box. She loves frogs and the glasses and bow tie were her idea.

Also, I wanted to post a picture from my birthday week. We had a blast playing lazer tag. We could hardly shoot each other because we were laughing so hard.

Valentine's Day

Today was Valentine's Day and I can't believe I didn't get a single picture. Too busy, with too much going on I guess. I need to take picture of Emma's Valentine Box, because they had a contest in her class and she won "most creative" and
most cute". Guess she takes after her mom/art teacher. Its a frog with big red lips. These are more pictures of the mountains. Guess I'll have to scrap them with heart paper. Happy Valentine's Day, oh, and Happy Birthday Abe too.

George's Birthday

Emma and Henry and I went to the mountains for a night. It was great to get away. We were hoping for some snow, but only had rain and a bit of hail. Thanks Mom and Dad for having us up to the cabin. We took a nice walk into town and the kids found some large rocks to climb on. It's good to be home, back to reality tomorrow. Happy Birthday George Washington.

Valentines Worms

Made these for Valentines Day. The mailboxes are from Target dollar spot (a dollar each) I made one for Emma and Henry. The jars are Valentine teacher's gifts, filled with candy. Mrs. Taylor gets gummy worms because for science last week each student observed an earthworm and got to take it home. Thanks Mrs. Taylor. Our worm is named Elmo, and after digging in the compost pile yesterday the kids found about 10 friends for Elmo. Now it's raining and they are outside finding lots more friends. Thanks Mrs. Taylor.

Artist Trading Cards

Okay, I have my ATC's (artist trading cards) ready for trading. If you would like to be in on this trade please have 4-5 cards ready to mail out by February 19th, and email me (jenniferalee@sbcglobal.net) your name, and address before February 14th. If for some reason you give me your name and address but cannot complete your cards please email me and let me know. I would hate to have someone not get as many cards as she sent out. I will give you a list of the persons you need to trade cards with by February 16th. Details on cards: they should have your name and contact info on the back and you should sign and number them. Also they should be the size of a baseball trading card (2.5 by 3.5 inches). They should be mailed out by the 19th. Questions? Let me know.

Rose Bowl Again and Scrapjacking

Okay, I have to post that Rose Bowl Link again because it didn't work last time. Scroll down on the Rose Bowl link and you can see my picture. Hope this time it works. Also I have to post a layout I did today for another blog spot. I scrapjacked a layout and did my own version based on one of Elsie's pages. It was very fun. Love the inspiration.

Rose Bowl Web Page

A friend of mine asked me yesterday if I have ever been to the Rose Bowl Flea Market, because my picture is on their webpage. Here is the link. Scroll down just a bit to see me. I was there a few months ago with Jill. We had so much fun, we should do it again. I bought a chest for Preston filled with fly fishing stuff. It even had money in it. The best buy was my flame shoes that I bought, though they are so funky, I can't wear them.
