Party Hats

I just got some of those cone party hats at Target and I had to try and make some altered ones. I have seen some really cute ones on the internet, and wondered if I could make some too. These are my first two attempts. The green fringe is from Michaels, and I used two sided sticky tapes to stick it on. More to come.

Art Class Pics

Here are a few pics from my art class at the ACSI convention. We had a lot of fun and I think it went really well. Thanks ladies for taking my class. Hope we can do it again next year. Let me know if you took the class and any comments you would like to share.

pics to share

I am off to the convention. I haven't taught my class yet and I'm already tired. I stayed up late last night getting ready. I had a few minutes this morning to check email and blog. These are just some random pics I took over the weekend. Emma's trophy has a turkey on it, so cute. Another egg carton art that I am sharing today and this cute litte house was one of the auction items at the red bee. I can't remember who Donna said made it, but I just loved it and had to take a picture of it. I love the BUTTON card roof. Am I on a button kick or what?

We had two big wins today. My artist trading cards won the gallery event at the Red Bee. Thanks for all your votes. I love ATCs. And I love the Red Bee. I got to do some make-n-takes today at the store. It was a lot of fun. And, Crush won the Turkey Tournament today. So I was also running here and there to softball games. I love softball too.

These are the lessons I am teaching this week at the ACSI Convention. The first is a birch tree picture based on Gustav Klimts "Forest of Birch Trees" painting. The second is the Veggie Tales, the third is: A Pop Art project, Lifesaver and the last one is based on the Aztec Sun Stone.

Buttons

I love buttons, but right now I have a lot of buttons in my jar, meaning I got a lot going on. Creativity takes a back seat to priorities for work and family. It won't be long before I'll be sharing some crafts for Mistletoe Mall, coming in December. I am excited, but just haven't had the time to put together some cute treasures to sell. I am so looking forward to it. I'll have a few days off here in a few days. I am teaching a class at the ACSI teacher convention next week, so I am preping for that. It's an art class for teachers, so I can share some great projects for the classroom. Spread the art. A lot of work, but well worth it. Do you have a lot of buttons in your jar right now? I know the holidays makes for a busy time.
