Pumpkins

It's a pumpkin kind of day.  Although it's been 90 degrees here in So Cal, it was crisp over the weekend in MA.  Hence some Fall gourd inspiration.  I love teaching observational drawing in the fall and using gourds, leaves and acorns as still life.  And if u run out of bulletin board space, make cardboard prisms.

Oh Summer How I Miss You So

I can't believe it's gone and won't be back for a while.  It was an amazing summer.  One that will stand out forever.

I love a new sharpener.

My colored pencils are sharp for once.  I love having a sharpener that works.

Post-it Notes

Kinders went over classroom expectations, then had a few minutes to create a colorful, circular post-it note masterpiece.

I will work hard for...

My yearbook class made signs about what they would work hard for.  Some said good grades, some said money and food.  All will work hard this year.

Artcamp 2014

Will have to post more pics of art camp this week, but have to remember to take more, we just get so busy in the creative process.  Here's a few...
Super easy name art using the craft sticks from the dollar store.  Get size large and colored ones if u can.  I used gardening clippers to cut the sticks to make the letters, then hotgluded them together, then acrylic paint to decorate.  Yarn could also be used to create color by wrapping around.
