Fall Art

My second and third graders made scarecrows in after school programming last week. I looked on-line for ideas and I didn't see any really super cute ones, so I combined a few that I saw and like.  I did a directed drawing lesson and since my sink isn't yet installed we colored them with crayons.  They came out cute I thought....

Bug Collections

Jr k's and K's drew and cut out bugs.  Together we drew spiders, lady bugs, beetles and butterflies.  Next we colored and cut them out and collected them on clear contact paper which attached to jar shapes.

Fall Color Wheels

We studied the color wheel and color theory and created these color wheels.  Part one was the border which we stamped with our own made styrofoam stamps and black tempera, part two was the leaf shapes and oil pastel veins, and glued.

Ocean Mural

My students have been working on a mural project for the Wyland foundation & the theme is ocean is life and we just finished it last week I'm so excited to see how well it does.  So glad it's complete.

Pete the Cat

Our Pete the Cats....

Scarecrows

So much for these cute guys scaring off the birds.  Directed drawing lesson with 2nd and 3rds, black sharpie and crayon.

Dwelling in Unity

These are the windows on my new room.  I was so excited for the end result of these, couldn't wait to put them up and display the crayon resists that illustrate out theme verse for the year.  "How good and pleasant it is when God's people dwell together in unity." Psalm 133:1
