Mother and Child, or The Three Ages of Woman was painted by Austrian artist Gustav Klimt. It's in Rome, but I would love to see it some day. My little Wednesday evening artist was inspired by all the colors and repeated shapes Klimt used.
Working on still lifes with my younger elementary class. We practiced setting up a still life and drawing it, then studied Paul Cezanne and his portraits, landscapes and still lifes, then created a plate of apples with acrylic, water colors and crayons.
