End of the year!

Wow, it's the end of the year, I can't believe it's here already. Christmas just seemed to fly by. Preston gave me this dream glittered sign from the store Blessings. Love it. This angel is a drawing give-away. Leave a comment between now and the 30th. Tell me what your New Year's plans are and I'll pick a winner on the 31st or shortly there after. Looking forward to lots to create in 2008!

Chunky Material Pages

I signed up to do another chunky book page swap, and these had to be in material, which I don't work with as much as paper. It was a struggle, but I ended up just drawing on fusable material and ironing it on. I also found some adhesive felt in my stash and that helped with getting these pages together. We all picked a theme and mine was birthday, cuz they are due right around my birthday in Jan. It will be a nice gift to get in the mail. Looking forward to it.

I'm a paper doll angel

I am on vacation! yeah! I feel some creativity coming on. Jill D. stopped by with a paper doll angel with my head on it. Isn't it cute. Thanks Jill. She made one of all the kids in her classroom. I'm not a kid in her classroom, but I had some inspiration to do with it. Hope you are enjoying your holidays and being creative.

Christmas Program

the kids had their Christmas program at school last night. It was dude ranch themed, so they all wore cowboy hats. Mrs. Greenwald and Mrs. P did an awesome job getting 500 or so kids to sing and dance at the same time. They all looked real cute in their western wear.

December Projects

These are my two layouts for the Red Bee. I posted them in the store last week, but wanted to share them here. I used creative imaginations paper and stickers and some bling. I also used some text paper from a book.

These are fun!

These ar paper quilled snowflakes my jr. higher's made. Guess quilling has been around for hundreds of years and it's called quilling because they use to use bird quills to coil the paper.

One More Hi-light!

Can't blog the weekend without sharing this! It was our last softball weekend for fall ball and for Crush. We spent Saturday at the field from 7am until 5pm. Crush placed 2nd in the tournament, which is huge, because they are a fall ball team who played in a travel ball tournament. The girls did awesome, it was such a great experience to be a part of Crush. Emma really learned a lot and grew in her softball experience. We really appreciate the time the coaches and manager put into this team. Congratulations Crush!
And, one last pic. This is a preview of the Christmas Card pic that I need to get busy on this week. Are your Christmas cards out????

Thursday Meeting Girls

Shout out to the Thursday Night Girls. Thanks Susan for hosting our annual ornament exchange at your house. We had a lot of fun catching up, as we don't see each other very much any more. Merry Christmas K.I.S.S.

Cookie Exchange

Here are some pics from Denise's cookie and ornament exchange. I had a lot of fun. Denise's house was beautifully decorated and all the cookies were delicious. Thank you Denise for the invite, I had a blast. I won a prize too!

Ornament Exchanges

Am on my way to some ornament exchanges, so I made some ornaments for the parties. I am also in a cookie exchange, so I'll have some really sweet pics to post after I get back. There is a contest for presentation, taste and hostess choice. Hope I win. I made fudge with nuts and without. I'll let you know. I am always up for a challenge.

Baby, it's Cold Outside

Even though, we don't have the snow like some places, it is a bit chilly lately. Chilly like we are not use to, like the 5o's. Okay, not really very cold, but cold for us here in So. Cal. It makes me just want to put jammies on and wrap up in a blanket with a hot cup of tea. Now if I could just go out and make a snowman. Guess I can make a paper one. Right?

december art

Just some pics of some december art. I found some pics from last year's mistletoe mall too, which is coming up again next week. Hopefully I'll have some time over the weekend to make some more things. My mom has been knitting scarves and I have been painting rocks and dominos. I need some more boy gifts though, do you have any ideas? The rocks were a big hit last year.

Creativi-TV

Anyone into Project Runway as much as me. I love Wednesday nights, and even though I have a cold and wanted to go to bed early last night, I had to stay up and watch the new episode. I love that they can throw together a creative outfit in about a day. I love creative reality tv. What show do you love?

My Tomboy

This is my tomboy! Can you believe it. I can't. I think that things are changing a bit around here. She went to a Hollywood Glamour Party yesterday, and even let me take pictures. I told her I needed something other to scrap besides softball and basketball. And, today we went to the mall to get her ears pierced. Wow! I might even get to use some pink scrapbook paper soon. So excited. What's new with you?

Chunky Book Pages

My first ever Chunky Book page swap pages came back and it was very exciting. I bound them all on the left with rings to make a book. I love all the different pages done by different artists. I can't wait to do another. Also, I wanted to share some new atcs. I joined illustratedatcs.com, another atc site. It should push my creativity level, because you can only submit illustrated or painted art. What are you working on?

new projects

I saw these cute trees on another blog, and thought I had to try making them. They are really very sparkly. I got pearlized pins, sequins and a styrofoam cone and made this:

Also, on atcards.com they are trading domino art, so I am making some for MistleToe Mall. Some will be necklaces and some will be magnets. Thanks Henry for your domino donation. I owe ya some.

desert

We went out to Anza-Borrego for the weekend for some riding. That's me (second from the right), Emma is in front of me in the red helmet, Henry is in the yellow helmet and Preston is in the white helmet. I love going out to the desert and seeing how God makes landscapes. It was a full moon out there, and in the morning it was huge and white and just sitting above the hills. I have a hard time being creative out there because of all the dirt, but it's nice to take a break,(just for a bit).

Crush

Well the softball season has almost come to an end. It has been very fun for Emma and a real learning season. She is moving up to the next age group, so the new rules she has learned will help her in the spring. I made this scrapbook for the team mom. I used one of Elsie's albums and lots of ribbons.

Give Thanks

I am thankful for so many things. I am thankful for my family and friends especially and for the creative gifts God has given me. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I can't believe it's here. The holidays are upon us. Now the crazy shopping madness begins. I think the creative need will help me stay balanced and not get caught up in the holiday madness. Looking forward to celebrating the holidays in the creative mode.
