Paperbag Scrapbooks

I took so many pictures on our softball trip to Utah, so I decided to make each girl an album. Cheapest way I know to make an album is to use lunch bags. These are easy if you cut all the paper ahead of time. I used all my orange prints and tied them together with orange printed ribbon. Hope your flipflops are going well, we have about 10 people signed up so far. Post a comment with a link so we can all see your flip flops before you mail them. Thanks for the inspiration.

Some new atcs for an Altered Mona Swap. It's been almost 20 years since I saw her in person. Maybe I'll get back to Paris again soon. I would love to visit her again at the Louve and see that famous smile.

Okay Here we go. If you want to participate in a flip flop swap email me at jenniferalee@sbcglobal.net and I'll email you the details. Basically what we will do is create 6 flip flops each, on heavy cardstock using a flip flop of your own for a template. Your flip flops need to have straps and be completely decorated, (collage, mixed media, paint etc.), you need to put your name, email, and city state on the back and mail them in a bubble wrap envelope to me by August 15th (that's a month) along with extra postage or cash and a return address label for the return flight. I will swap them out and return 6 flip flops from other swappers. You can make them into a garland. questions?? email me.

Sidetracked

Been sidetracked a bit with softball. So needless to say, I haven't done much art lately, but this team ispired me a bit in Utah. They finished first in their Triple Crown World Series, Go Crush! So exciting. But glad to be back home too, to my artroom. Still working on the details of the flipflop swap. Will post tomorrow the details. Hope you are working on yours.

Okay, I am working out the details, looks like there is enough interest in a flipflop swap. Give me about a week to put it together. What I did was trace one of my daughter's flipflops for the size and shape. I bet one of yours would work as well. I used heavy card stock for the base and collaged all the rest. I added straps with brads and eyelets. I'll get my lists together from past swaps and send out an email too. I am thinking the deadline will be mid-August, so that will give us about a month to create. I'll post the details in about a week.

Happy 4th

I bought this cute july fourth door hanger a couple of weeks ago to help me get into the holiday spirit. I guess it worked. I am excited about spending tomorrow with friends and family. I feel blessed to live in the U.S. Tomorrow for me, will be about celebrating life and enjoying my kids and my friends. I'll only live once, I'd hate to miss it. Happy fourth of July, my blogland friends, I am celebrating with you as well.
