artweekend

It has been an art weekend with the art festival going on at the church. I took some pics but haven't uploaded yet so this if one from my file. It has also been a softball weekend with 3 days in a row with games. Preston and I got a break tonight when the kids went swimming at a friend's house. We went to dinner at LoneStar steak house. It was very good. Happy weekend. Next week we appreciate the teachers so I am working on paperbag scrapbooks for the kid's teachers. Watch for images.

In the House

I have joined a house ATC swap on atcards.com. so I have been creativly constructing houses obsessively. The weekend is just about over. I'll be busy with the art fest this week. Hope to post some pictures and get inspired by some great art. Happy Monday.

The boys like to hang out together at the ballfield. The Patriots are still undefeated. It was a close game lastnight, 1-0 in the 5th inning. The girls are doing awesome.

Back to work today. They are going to put in some tile under the new sink, so we wont be able to use it for a little while. They also need to patch the drywall they cut to run some pipes, so my artroom is not quite in order yet. It is getting to be busy time at work with the artfestival next week. There is a lot to do for that. I might have to cut back on the ATC's for a bit. TFL

Another ATC. Still obsessed. I am having fun trading cards from around the world. I have one coming from the British Isles and one from the Netherlands. Go van Gogh.

Easter Vacation has come to an end. I look forward to getting back to work, and using the new sink. I can't believe that April is half over. Was suppose to go the the flea market today, except for it was last week, so I hit the Goodwill with Jill. We only had about 12 minutes, but ended up staying an hour. We found some good deals though. Happy Week After Easter Vacation!

hello

Just checking in to say hi. I've been sick with the flu for the last couple of days. Hope to be feeling better tomorrow. I have been hanging out at home, so that has been nice to be off work. The sink got put in in the artroom, so I am excited about that. We'll have running water in the artroom. yeah!

We went to the ART BAR yesterday, in Santa Ana's artist village. It was closed. It looks like a really cool place so we are definately going to have to try again. We walked around a bit and got some inspiration and then went shopping and out to lunch. TFL

Ugly Dolls

Have you seen these cute "Ugly Dolls". Guess they are the hot new thing to collect. Beannie Babies are out, Ugly Dolls are in. I am thinking about making some with my jr. highers. I think they might have a little fun with a needle and thread. I'll post my sample when it's done.

Spring

Spring

It is spring and summer is just around the corner. The kids are making a lemonaide stand. It is a very lucrative business and they remember the funds they made last year. They might even get started over Spring Break, if Grandma's neighbor's tree has any lemons yet. I am looking forward to reading a good book, and celebrating Easter.

Patriots

The Patriots won both their games on Saturday. The first game was a nail-biter and the second not so much. The kids got to see their cousin too and go to grandma and grandpa's so it was a really busy weekend. I scrapped at the Red Bee on Sunday. I'll try and post some of my layouts soon. I worked on Henry's album. Happy April!
