Love making these door hangers and the other side says Do Not Disturb. Like someone is going to bring breakfast in bed. It's a nice thought.
And this is a design team challenge for the Red Bee. The challenge was to make a layout with at least 8-10 photos on a page. Its not a typical page for me. It's hard for me to use that many photos. I like to use 1-3 usually.

Its tradition to get together with two of my oldest friends and their kids and have some holiday cheer. I made stars with colored craft sticks and the kids, and moms glued on beads. We also frosted cookies. These girl's moms go way back.

Went to Katie's birthday party and her mom had all her artsy mags out, so I just had to check them, and saw a cute idea for these in 'cloth, paper, scissors' from a december ago. So I ran right home and found a few things laying around and got into the winter mode. Looking forward to the fun decorations in winter. Not looking forward to the cold. And really, I probably don't even know what cold is. Ha.

Just browsing through my photos and picking out my favorites. I really need to get organized and clean up some space on my computer. I have so many pics. These were just a few that I especially like of pieces from the last few years. You don't realize how much you produce until you look back. Its good to see where you've been, it helps point the direction of where you are going.

Try a different angle. You might see something from a different perspective and shed new light on the subject matter. Good advice for photography and for life. Ha!

Fall Decorations

Put my fall decorations up last night. Guess I am finally in the fall mood. I am liking the weather change, and the crisp air. We have been burning our fall candles here at home. So the house looks and smells like the season. I think its one of my favorites, or maybe I just like every new season, because its been a year since we had it. Hope you're getting in the fall mood too. What are you doing for fall?

New Projects

Had a design team meeting on Friday at the Red Bee and got a lot of inspiration from new products at the store. Can't wait to get organized and back in the art room.

Just Around the Corner

Can't believe Fall is almost here again. I think its one of my favorite times of the year. I love the colors black and white and orange together and I love drawing pumpkins too. Can't wait.

I have ordered this camera strap cover from dillybobs on etsy. I can't wait to get it and put it on my camera. It has a cute little posie on it too. So cool, can't wait!

Monas in the Mail

Got these in the mail yesterday from an altered Mona swap. I love them all. The one on the left is from Roc, middle Mandy, and the right is from Angelika. Thanks ladies.

Counting the days til I go back to work. Thinking about all the things I need to get done before I have no time to do any of them, and yet being creative is of course foremost in my mind. Wish there were about 30 hours in each day.

Wow, just two weeks left before my summer vacation comes to an end. Can't believe school is just around the corner. It's been a good summer. The flipflops have been mailed back so it won't be long before you get them. Hope you make a garland out of them and hang them up in remembrance of the great summer you have had too. Matroyshka Dolls

I was at the fair a couple of weeks ago with Jill and she was looking at the Matroyshka nesting dolls. Then I was looking at Roc's blog and found out about a swap of them happening, so I couldn't resist. Here are mine.

Just some atcs I made while on vacation in Catalina. I took a bag full of scraps, ink, a couple of stamps and scissors and glue. I love mixed collage. It's my far most favorite medium.

It has flew by, but it's been fun and that is what matters most.

Went to the Red Bee the other night and found the new Cosmo Cricket papers and some felt Alphas, and created a layout with one of my favorite pics from Park City. Haven't been very creative lately, with the kids off for the summer I find I am doing lots of mom and me activities that don't involve alone time in the art/scrap room. That's okay, they'll be grown and gone, before I know it. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Paperbag Scrapbooks

I took so many pictures on our softball trip to Utah, so I decided to make each girl an album. Cheapest way I know to make an album is to use lunch bags. These are easy if you cut all the paper ahead of time. I used all my orange prints and tied them together with orange printed ribbon. Hope your flipflops are going well, we have about 10 people signed up so far. Post a comment with a link so we can all see your flip flops before you mail them. Thanks for the inspiration.

Some new atcs for an Altered Mona Swap. It's been almost 20 years since I saw her in person. Maybe I'll get back to Paris again soon. I would love to visit her again at the Louve and see that famous smile.
