Happy Thanksgiving
So good to be back in blogland. We have been living out of the trailer for a few days. We had our house fumigated, and got to get back in yesterday, but it was still a little smelly and our eyes burned, so we spent one more night in the trailer. We are airing things out again today, so glad I am not hosting Thanksgiving dinner here. We had a great time in the desert, and left just before the storm came in, though it's been raining here for the last 2 days. Looking forward to using my new markers and pencils, maybe I'll find some time when things settle back down. Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you have a great one with family and friends.

Just was looking through some pics from last Thanksgiving, and it looks like it will be more of the same this year. I love being able to get out to the desert and camp with friends and ride the quads. Emma and Preston have already left, hence some time to blog and go blog visiting. Also shown, my colection of atcs (artist trading cards) with Roc's on the top.

The Art Lesson
This is the perfect time of year to read this book. I think it's my favorite children's book. Tommy wants to be an artist when he grows up, but Mrs. Larson won't let him use his box of 64 crayola crayons. He ends up drawing a Pilgrim couple and a turkey and his art teacher. I think that is why I love this book.

Anticipation
I decided that I needed a good set of markers and colored pencils so I splurged and got some primacolors. Can't wait to use them, but I don't want to use them til I have enough uninterrupted time to sit down and draw for a good while. Don't know if that is going to happen soon, so I am just anticipating how much fun it will be.

Big Weekend
Some progress on my book, I am in the process of getting some prisma markers so that I can continue.
and....Emma had two seasons end this weekend. Calvary Elementary Girls Basketball won the Championship and went undefeated all season, and Emma caught 4 softball games. Tustin 12U-A went to the semi finals. Good job girls. Way to go Emma.

Just Around the Corner
Can you believe Christmas is just around the corner? I was talking with someone yesterday who said she was just about done with her Christmas shopping. You're kidding me right? That would be a great goal, to get it all done before Thanksgiving. Yeah, like that is really going to happen. It would sure make December stress free. Well, maybe a could at least start in November.
These two projects are made from Creative Imaginations paper and chipboard stickers. They are on display at the Red Bee.

Cabin View
LACMA
Okay, so I've been busy and haven't posted in a while. Well, I have pictures to prove it and lots of inspiration for future blogging. Hope you are busy with lots of creativity and fun life stuff. This is a roughdraft of a page of a book that I want to write. Okay, I said it out loud. Thats a good thing. I went to the mountains for the last couple of days and did some drawing while I was up there. On the way home, I really thought about this book that I have been thinking about for years and I came home and started sketching. I think it just might happen.
Wrapped Christmas presents for a swap, almost finished with that. And....
a few other creative things in progress. What are you working on? Any book publishing tips?

well I have been working on some swap projects for Christmas, but I can't show them because they are Christmas presents and they need to get wrapped. Been busy otherwise with kids and sports and things so not much art to show of lately. Things are going to slow down here in a couple of weeks. Then we'll ramp things up again for the holidays. Happy November and Happy Super Tuesday to you tomorrow. Hope the polls aren't too crowded, and the wait not long.
