Happy Father's Day Dad

Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful dads out there and especially to my dad, who is tried and true. He is one of my #1 fans, and he is probably my kids' #1 fan too. Thanks for being loyal and true Dad. It means the world to me. And, I'm your #1 fan too.

Angels

I know I have some angels looking out for me. Some are in the shape of great friends that I know love me and I can trust them to help me make a way through the tough stuff. I am so greatful for them. More than they know it. I am lucky or blessed really.

Had a great day out with the girls today. We went into L.A. for the American Girl Doll Store. Emma is just about done with it. So sad, that my little girl is almost a teen. Wow. We went to The Grove for shopping and to the Farmer's Market for lunch. I found a cute dish towel at Anthropology and took a picture of it so mom can copy it and make one for less. The cake and cupcakes on it are so delicious. We also went to the 3 story Barns and Noble there and I got the latest Summerset Studio Magazine. Can't wait to look at it and get inspired. Emma got to spend one last day with her cousin before she leaves for the summer. Thanks mom for the outing it was a lot of fun. I'll email you the dish towel picture.

Beach Day

The kids and I had a really nice beach day yesterday. They boogie boarded, skim boarded, played in the sand and with friends. There was a rip current, and at one point had to get out per the life guard, so they got back in a little futher down the coast. Today we are laying low with sunburns.

I have some art to show off, it turned out to be a productive and creative day after all. Didn't think I had it in me, but I got in there anyway and produced a few things.
Have to show off this cute felted wool pencil holder. It was a teacher gift from the Duffy family and I just love it. It came from etsy, so I'll have to browse some more.

New journal pages called, "Surrender to Win"

Need a cute idea for teacher's gifts. I filled them with jellybellies and a gift card. Can't believe we are done already. Summer vacation starts tomorrow, yea!
Frida Kalo atc swap. I haven't done any atcs in a while, so this was fun. I used a mixed media background that I painted and stamped and then added collage pieces to make up the composition.



Pics from the last day of school!

Well my computer is up and running again. I think that the surge protector shut off during the lightning and thunder storm we had here the other night. My best friend Maureen had lightning hit 2 doors down from her house. Caught a palm tree on fire and blew a hole through a brick wall. In other news, Henry had a water party at school on Friday, so we filled up our cooler with water balloons.

This is one of my favorite portraits. Just thought I would share. I am having trouble with my computer at home, so I am checking on things on my breaks at work. Hope to be back in computer land soon.
