Tree Book Class
I made this Christmas tree scrapbook for the Red Bee for their Christmas display and there was a lot of interest in it, so it has become a class. Just Bring your supplies and I will help you put it all together so you will have a cute Christmas book to share with family and friends. I will also supply some embellishments and ribbons for you to use. Here are the details.

desert
We went out to Anza-Borrego for the weekend for some riding. That's me (second from the right), Emma is in front of me in the red helmet, Henry is in the yellow helmet and Preston is in the white helmet. I love going out to the desert and seeing how God makes landscapes. It was a full moon out there, and in the morning it was huge and white and just sitting above the hills. I have a hard time being creative out there because of all the dirt, but it's nice to take a break,(just for a bit).
Crush
Well the softball season has almost come to an end. It has been very fun for Emma and a real learning season. She is moving up to the next age group, so the new rules she has learned will help her in the spring. I made this scrapbook for the team mom. I used one of Elsie's albums and lots of ribbons.

Give Thanks
I am thankful for so many things. I am thankful for my family and friends especially and for the creative gifts God has given me. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I can't believe it's here. The holidays are upon us. Now the crazy shopping madness begins. I think the creative need will help me stay balanced and not get caught up in the holiday madness. Looking forward to celebrating the holidays in the creative mode.

Party Hats
I just got some of those cone party hats at Target and I had to try and make some altered ones. I have seen some really cute ones on the internet, and wondered if I could make some too. These are my first two attempts. The green fringe is from Michaels, and I used two sided sticky tapes to stick it on. More to come.

pics to share
I am off to the convention. I haven't taught my class yet and I'm already tired. I stayed up late last night getting ready. I had a few minutes this morning to check email and blog. These are just some random pics I took over the weekend. Emma's trophy has a turkey on it, so cute. Another egg carton art that I am sharing today and this cute litte house was one of the auction items at the red bee. I can't remember who Donna said made it, but I just loved it and had to take a picture of it. I love the BUTTON card roof. Am I on a button kick or what?

Win, Win
We had two big wins today. My artist trading cards won the gallery event at the Red Bee. Thanks for all your votes. I love ATCs. And I love the Red Bee. I got to do some make-n-takes today at the store. It was a lot of fun. And, Crush won the Turkey Tournament today. So I was also running here and there to softball games. I love softball too.

Buttons
I love buttons, but right now I have a lot of buttons in my jar, meaning I got a lot going on. Creativity takes a back seat to priorities for work and family. It won't be long before I'll be sharing some crafts for Mistletoe Mall, coming in December. I am excited, but just haven't had the time to put together some cute treasures to sell. I am so looking forward to it. I'll have a few days off here in a few days. I am teaching a class at the ACSI teacher convention next week, so I am preping for that. It's an art class for teachers, so I can share some great projects for the classroom. Spread the art. A lot of work, but well worth it. Do you have a lot of buttons in your jar right now? I know the holidays makes for a busy time.

wonky
Monday, November 12, 2007
We stayed home this weekend, and decided to take on a big project, like home-make-over, room edition. So glad that Preston is very particular when it comes to painting, so I made these last night and this morning and now I cam cleaning the craft room. I am just being there for moral support, which is fine with me cuz I really don't like painting (walls that is). Henry's room is going to look really nice when it's done. I got to pick the paint color. What would you rather do, redo a bedroom or scrap? hummmm, that's not a tough question.

Paper Dolls
Did you play with paper dolls when you were a kid? I did. I had a whole collection. I had the Waltons and Pippi Longstocking and a few others. I loved them. I wish I still had them. That would be really cool. Well, I joined an altered paper doll swap and this was my first attempt. Guess I still play paper dolls. Do you?

crown swap
I got my crown yesterday in the mail from Paben and I just love it. I even got a little wand to go with it. I told Preston that I was going to wear it when I was having a crappy day and I could be queen of the crappy day. So Henry went around saying that he was the King of the crappy day. Watch your mouth mom! I really love it though, perfect. I have to find an accessable place for it so I can grab it and start using my wand to get kids to do their homework and take baths. Thanks Paben.
I also made this little board book for a friend of Preston's at work. He needed a baby gift by Friday and I just happened to be eyeing these coasters at Lampost Pizza last night and Mr. Reber gave me a whole stack. They have beer logos on them, but I just scrap over that.

my tree climber
Give him a tree and he'll find a way up. At first it was really scary watching him go up so high. But now I just don't watch and trust that he is very coordinated and athletic. The thing is, he looks so cute in the tree, so I always get my camera. Mac is cute too. Henry taught her to climb too. Now they just need some bananas.
image found
I found this image on my computer, I had forgotten about it. This was one of my first atc's I ever did. I really like this zetti cat. I was thinking about a pet cat the other day. I have always been a cat person, but since I've been married I've only had dogs. Jack is kinda like a cat, cuz he's small and can sit on your lap. I still like cats though. Maybe I can talk Preston into a cat? Or maybe I can just make cat art.

Digit vs. Craftroom
These are two layouts I did a while back with Photoshop elements. I love digital scrappin, cuz there is no mess involved. When you are done, you just turn off the computer, which is a big difference from what my craftroom looks like. The problem with the craftroom is, I go in there to straighten and organize and I find something I need to work on, and end up making a bigger mess. It never ends, the need to be creative.

fairies
Faries after Misty Mawn. I am really inspired lately. Love the paintings done by her with the birds and wings. These are trading cards, but I am having a hard time parting with them. I love the muted colors.
